
The Houston Cougars will play in ‘prime time’ according to local hours when they play in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
The Cougars, who are seeded first in the Midwest region, will go head-to-head against Gonzaga, the eighth seed, on Saturday night in Wichita. The tournament is going to start at 7:40 so they are hoping to kick things off on time. The highlight game will also be available on TNT.
Houston intends to create better memories in Wichita during this section of the NCAA tournament.
They will be preceded by Texas Tech against Drake who set off the double header at in the NB Intrust bank arena.
Houston will be the victor of the lower bracket match on Thursday with an impressive 78-40 win against SI Edwardsville aka Southern Illinois Edwardsville university (SIU). Gonzaga had a tough but triumphant round one match with Georgia’s ninth seed, they won with an 89-68.

The Cougars and the bulldogs also hold a special record with each other, each one having the most active ongoing streak of wins in the round 64 on the NCAA tourney.
Gonzaga has the longest active streak at 16 wins after Kansas’ 17 game streak was cut short due to a loss against Arkansas. Houston follows Gonzaga now with 7 straight wins during the 64 round.
