The veteran play-by-play man has weathered so much hate over the years, yet because of this, he has turned into a beloved figure amongst the supporters who consider him a ‘lovely elder statesman.’

Yet there are still quite a lot of critics out there, including some who are in very prominent positions.

His remarks on Buck came out of nowhere when earlier in the Chicago Bears hired Ben Johnson as the new head coach, George McCaskey, the owner of the bears McCaskey, took a shot in Buck’s way.

In what can only be termed as misguided commentary, McCaskey was asked for his two cents on Tom Brady’s Raiders ownership and his role as a broadcaster during a playoff game.

Buck received a passing jab by saying,”I don’t care who they put on, but when Joe Buck is doing the game, I turn the sound off.”

Buck had the last laugh this week indicating that he has no problems with McCaskey’s comments and also stated that when is heard people chuckle at his remark.

“It’s all good. I was fine. I didn’t cry myself to sleep,” Buck said to 670 The Score while tiptoeing around the details. “I took it as a badge of honor… He, and thirty percent of the other viewers… I am pleased that he came up with my name.”

Once more, Buck has attracted a lot of people who absolutely hate him throughout the journey of his extensive career. At this point, it’s just how most people were not bothered by the news.

That said, if any Bears broadcast games are scheduled for Monday Night Football, there is really no reason why viewers shouldn’t monitor the broadcast to see if Buck further mocks McCaskey on air.
